| The Mission of the Augusta Federation of Trades Central Labor Council. The mission of the Augusta Federation of Trades Central Labor Council is consistent with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO): We seek the fulfillment of the hopes and aspirations of working people through the democratic process and within the framework of our constitutional government. We serve the interests of the American people at the collective bargaining table, in the community, and in the exercise of the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. We pledge ourselves to working men and women, to secure them full recognition and rights of employment to which they are justly entitled; to obtain for them the highest standards of living and working conditions. We strive to always win full respect and dignity of the individual whom our unions serve.
